The extension is available as an Enterprise license as part of a bundle. Prices for these bundles are available on request.

What is the Color Models feature and how does it enhance BIM visualization?

Color Models allows you to apply data-driven color schemes to your IFC models using information from an Excel file. By linking property values or classifications to specific colors, you can turn complex model data into clear, visual insights—perfect for analysis, presentations, or stakeholder communication.

How do I assign colors to model elements?

You simply use an Excel (.xlsx) file to define color values (in #RRGGBB format) based on IFC classifications or custom properties. Once linked, the tool automatically applies these colors to the corresponding elements in your 3D model, either fully automatically or semi-automatically depending on your preferences.

What happens if some elements aren’t included in my Excel file?

Color Models includes a smart default coloring feature. You can assign a fallback color to any objects not explicitly listed in the Excel file, ensuring your visualization stays complete and consistent without gaps.

Can I change or remove color mappings after they’ve been applied?

The extension supports dynamic recoloring, allowing you to update the entire model or just non-colored elements. If you ever need to start fresh, the one-click reset function lets you revert your model back to its original, uncolored state instantly.
